Overview

The Assistant Director will assist the Director with managing the day-to-day operational aspects of a group of assigned practices, and assist with ongoing projects with new and existing practices. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the flow of requests from network leadership, and will ensure that all network activities and projects are communicated effectively and efficiently. Some of the duties include: 1) Serving on various committees as needed; 2) assist in managing the IT and EMR vendor contracts/relationships; 3) transition management and integration work; and 4) participating in professional organizations and system leadership training.

Responsibilities


Employee Engagement/Talent Development: Works with Director to engage and develop CHMG Practice administrators. Includes recruitment, mentoring, and the development of relationships that strengthen CHMG's mission and values. Uses established tactics such as evaluations, staff meetings and rounding to assure goals are achieved.

Financial/Resource Manager: Understands and uses tools available (financial reports, OA reports, VitalStats, etc.) to enable practices to create value for our patients. Assist Director with budget and budget process. Assists with communicating financial information in an informative and understandable way to administrators and providers. Assists with actions necessary when financial performance varies from plan. Able to assist financial analysts in development of proformas for growth possibilities. Uses Cone Health resources for supply chain management, staffing and all resource management

Accountable Leader/Communication: This may include : system-wide meetings, webinars, and other forms of communication such as email, etc. Employs multiple communication modes to keep CHMG practices informed of system developments/initiatives.

Quality and Safety Leader: Assists Director with using established tactics to achieve CHMG and CH Quality Goals. This includes, assuring operational compliance with: clinical competencies, regulatory requirements, risk management initiatives and ACO and other metrics.

Service Leader: Sees the patient as the center and reason for all our work. Assists the Director and practice with employing tactics to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction possible. Assists with setting expectations of the team(s) regarding service. This would include engagement of all staff and providers in addressing patient customer needs, using satisfaction metrics and patient feedback.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors, Business Management, Required

Masters, Business Management, Preferred

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Health Care managementAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED

MGMA CMPE preferred
