Assesses, plans, implements, documents, organizes, prioritize, delegates, supervises and coordinates the care of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric patients as prescribed within the parameters of the NC Nurse Practice Act and hospital complex. |
? Provides nursing care via the nursing process (i.e. nurse visits, assisting providers, pre-visit calls, triage, and transitional care). ? Documents and updates the plan of care, nursing interventions and patient response to care. ? Keeps healthcare team, patients and family informed. ? Demonstrates advanced competencies and critical thinking skills in day to day practice. ? Identifies and implements educational needs for patients/family. ? Establishes a caring and therapeutic relationship with patients and their families. ? Recognizes communication barriers, identifies resources and establishes plans to resolve barriers to communication. ? Advocates for the patients and family while demonstrating skillful responses to customer needs. -------------------------------------------------- ? Delegates appropriate tasks (nurse visits, POC testing, in-basket management, paperwork, and provider assistance) to support staff. ? Provides input and supports the precepting and mentoring process. ? Works directly with the team leads/supervisors/management to help manage workflows and meet the needs of the clinic. ? EDUCATION: |
Associates, Nursing, Required Bachelors, Nursing, Preferred Graduate of a School of Nursing. BSN required or with approval of the VP of Nursing, experienced RN's with an AD or Diploma with an active plan to obtain their BSN within four years from date of hire may be considered. |
