Under the direction of the THN Manager, Provider Database and Contract Administrator, the Database Analyst will be responsible for supporting the THN provider data warehouse, assessing the existing systems/technologies, recommending approaches for modernization and driving decision-making through innovative technology and data-driven solutions. This person will work with stakeholders and team members to define, design and deliver actionable insights. The person will work with the Database Administrator to design and execute changes to existing data models and create new data models based upon the THN data strategy and analytic needs of the organization.

| 1 Champions data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the organization by designing and promoting best practices. 2 Creates/maintains the development of logical data models and semantic data layers needed to support business and analytic requirements. Adapts to change as the organization develops its data governance and data-driven environment. 3 Maintains quality of data in the reporting and analytic ecosystems, ensuring integrity of the data, the correction of data problems, data accuracy, and the established design procedures to purge/archive old data. 4 Participates in the planning and retirement of systems and migration of the infrastructure. 5 Aids team members with issues that require technical expertise or complex systems and/or programming knowledge. 6 Supports and performs systems administration duties, as needed. 7 Tracks progress and effectively communicates with direct manager to ensure successful completion of assigned projects within targeted time, cost, and quality. 8 Interacts with third party vendors to highlight the right information, risks, open issues, and the impact on data-related projects. 9 Identifies areas of improvement in work flows, including but not limited to: data entry, payer roster queries, interdepartmental data support and communications, and ease of access to the data via a front-end platform. |
| EDUCATION: |
| Required: Bachelor?s degree in computer science, information technology or related field Preferred: Master?s degree in computer science, information technology or related field |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| Required: Minimum three (3) years? experience in data warehousing and/or business intelligence Preferred: Two (2) years? experience in healthcare to demonstrate an understanding of the intricacies of healthcare data and an understanding of HIPAA and its impact on database design. Demonstrated knowledge of data architecture concepts, logical and physical database modeling, methods, and strategies. Experience with business intelligence strategies/design as it relates to data architecture. |
