Overview

This individual is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating wellness program activities for the Cone Health System employees and community/corporate partners. This position services the following age categories: pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Responsibilities


a.) Maintain wellness program schedules, records, or reports including attendance, participation, and performance data to maximize program efficiency and adequately meet the needs of the employees. b.) Interpret data on utilization and evaluation of programs/offerings and submit reports to the Wellness Manager in a timely manner.

a.) Manage or oversee fitness facilities and physical activity programs, ensuring safe, inviting, and clean facilities and equipment. b.) Operate and instruct others in proper orientation of fitness equipment.

a.) Oversee program delivery while integrating cost-containment and cost-effectiveness aspects. b.) Develop a budget to address program development, promotion and delivery.

a.) Provide wellness programs and services specific to Cone Health?s strategic goals, employee health risks and interests. b.) Collaborate with internal and external resources/vendors to provide a comprehensive program. c.) Participate in strategy sessions for program integration

Develop marketing campaigns to promote wellness programs and activities through a variety of methods such as LiveLifeWell website, Code U, Code VU, email, Cone Connects, fliers, and brochures.

Organize, coordinate, instruct and staff wellness programs, classes or events such as information presentations, group exercise classes, fitness facilities or organized runs/walks.

Select and supervise contractors/employees, such as event hosts for presentations, massage therapists, personal trainers/health coaches, and group exercise instructors.

Work closely with the System Wide Wellness Manager, site champions, and corporate partners to develop and deliver annual wellness program objectives.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required - Bachelor?s degree in Health Education/Promotion, Exercise Science/Physiology, Nutrition, or other health/fitness related field.

Preferred - Master?s degree in health promotion or related field strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
Required - A minimum of three years experience in community/employee health and wellness.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED

Drivers License | Valid Drivers License

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider

PREFERRED

Preferred - Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian, ACSM Exercise Physiologist or Health Educator.
