Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Recreation and Aquatics Manager, the Play Coordinator is responsible for all programing and operations in Play. The Play Coordinator ensures that Cone Health provides the best children?s programs available-in a warm and friendly atmosphere, in a sparkling clean and sanitary environment, with properly functioning and safe equipment. The Play Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring that Play is staffed by personnel who care, are enthusiastic and understanding, who ensure the quality and integrity of the programs offered, and who operate with safety at the forefront in a professional manner for both parents and children.

Responsibilities


Staff management and training - Interviews, hires, trains, develops, schedules, retains, supervises, and disciplines all employees working in Play!. Creates and implements employee policies and procedures. Holds regular staff meetings to keep the staff informed, to allow them to solve problems, and to contribute to ideas. Ensures that employee hours worked are properly accounted and that payroll is processed.

Operations - Ensures that the facility is impeccably clean, sanitary, and safe, and that all programs are being run with integrity and in-line with the Drawbridge Vision. May step in as a Lead Teacher or Attendant, as needed.

Financial - Ensures that the operation?s accounting is completed properly and maintain a healthy balance sheet. Ensures that all customer invoices and payments are collected and applied properly.



Member management - Establishes rapport with all parents/customers. Ensures that the programs offered are meeting the needs of the customer. Listens and responds to questions and complaints in a non-confrontational manner.

Marketing - Creates and implements a comprehensive marketing plan for Play! programming, including but not limited to social media, print marketing, utilizing co-marketing opportunities, and grassroots community marketing.

Attends regular meetings to discuss the operational and financial health of Play! with the Recreation and Aquatics Manager or General Manager.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required

Bachelor?s degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required

Two years of professional experience managing and being responsible for profit and loss in a facility related to health club, recreation, education, business administration, health education, physical education.

Preferred

Previous health club, recreation or aquatics operations experience with direct supervision of children?s programming.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required

CPR/AED & First Aid Certified; Current Certification in the Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction (USA Gymnastics course U100)
