Overview

 
Performs various vascular ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the chief technical sonographer.

Delivers excellent customer service utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and colleagues, including all internal and external customers.

This position requires the following:

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) by CCI or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT-VS) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Talent Pool; Allied Health

 

Responsibilities

 

 
Performs all vascular examinations completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner.

Analyze test data accurately. Communicates findings to reading vascular physician in verbal and written form.

Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repair of testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner.

Maintains skills for all current procedures performed. Learns new skills and procedures as changes occur.

Maintains CPR certification.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED:

Graduate of accredited Associate's degree program

 

EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:

1 year of relevant patient care in an allied health field

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED

RVT from ARDMS or RVS from CCI or RT-VS from ARRT

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
