| Cardiopulmonary Technologists assist patients with diagnosis and treatment of medical problems in the heart and lungs. They administer such tests as Stress testing and related non- invasive Cardiology testing, Bronchoscopy, and Pulmonary Function Studies. This individual may also perform in the capacity of a Respiratory Care Practitioner with all of the job related activities of the position. |
| Perform stress testing. Obtains brief History and pertinent lab results prior to testing to identify and contraindications for testing. -------------------------------------------------- Performs Pulmonary Functions according to the ATS standards. -------------------------------------------------- Performs other noninvasive Cardiology diagnostics and results according to hospital standards. -------------------------------------------------- Assures all PM is completed on equipment used in diagnostic testing. -------------------------------------------------- Maintains Quality Data pertinent to testing performed. -------------------------------------------------- Performs Bronchoscopy procedures independently after proper training period. -------------------------------------------------- Follows the Infection Control cleaning process relative to the procedure being performed. -------------------------------------------------- Assists with all Quality Assurance and Regulatory requirements of the Blood Gas Laboratory within the Cardiopulmonary Department. | Associates, Respiratory Therapy, Required in Cardiopulmonary Science or Respiratory Care Bachelors, Preferred |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| ECG Experience, Preferred Can be trained in diagnostic testing if no experience in diagnostic testing. |
