| Mentor and develop staff. Review & Approval of Work - supervision of staff; a hierarch reporting relationship. Works independently to drive to and achieve month end close, audit or tax per deadlines, audit and/or tax assignments without supervision. Team manager on all projects -------------------------------------------------- Design, perform and supervise/sign off on General Ledger account (currency and statistical) reconciliations on Balance Sheet, Statement of Operations General Ledger accounts comprised of standard cover page, support documentation and referenced work papers with related adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) within deadlines per various accounting close calendars. -------------------------------------------------- Approval level on annual audit and tax. Assigned as Team Manager on special audits. -------------------------------------------------- Final manager review and supervise all period (monthly, quarterly, annual) journal entries with financial supporting schedules and documentation while maintaining accuracy, internal controls and protocols. -------------------------------------------------- Preparation of complex special reports and/or other managerial assignments in general accounting, audit, budget and/or tax as assigned -------------------------------------------------- Expert knowledge of the Cone Health financial computer systems including but not limited to Lawson, Hyperion, Kaufmann Hall, Kronos, ESSBASE and Microsoft Office products as they relate to all financial and statistical module data (general ledger, budget, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, materials, inventory, fixed assets, revenue and other) and serve as a resource to others in their understanding of transaction processing and reporting from these systems. -------------------------------------------------- Expert level understanding of Cone Health operational business units and the concept of inter-company transactions. Participate in Consolidation of published financial statements or special reporting groups with inter-company elimination work papers and journal entries. -------------------------------------------------- Expert variance investigations with ability to clearly explain variances, projects in written and oral communication adjusted to the level of understanding of the customer. Assigned as presenter to Executive Finance leaders. -------------------------------------------------- Maintains protection and security of Cone Health assets by following Internal Controls. Team lead on preparation of documentation of accounting policy and procedures to ensure compliance to all federal and state regulatory guidelines. Capable of researching accounting standards and applying to Cone Health policy and procedures. -------------------------------------------------- |
| EDUCATION: |
| Bachelors, Accounting, BS in Accounting or Related Field Required |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| Progressively responsible experience in accounting or closed related field including management experience. Prefer experience in a health-related field. |
| LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
| REQUIRED PREFERRED CPA, CMA or advanced degree desirable. |
