Demonstrates personal accountability. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals (including compliance with Infection Prevention, Hand Hygiene, Fall Reporting, etc.). Protects all confidential information and obeys all HIPAA regulations. Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures, including dress code and attendance. Documents care according to agency policy and submits documentation according to agency guidelines. Completes all departmentally required education, competencies, and/or proficiencies. -------------------------------------------------- On-Call. Participates in weekday/weekend on-call as required by organization. -------------------------------------------------- Performs direct patient care based on the plan of care while ensuring age appropriate care. Provides care for patients by providing assistance with activities of daily living: bathing, shaving, mouth care, skin care, toileting/incontinence care, repositioning to prevent breakdown for the bedbound patient, safety and monitoring with ambulation, progressive mobility and safe patient handling. Assists with incidental activities of daily living: light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, errands, etc. Keeps licensed staff informed of all responsibilities on an on-going basis, ensuring prompt notification in the event of a problem or potential problem or safety concern. Considers each patients physical limitations and developmental age providing special attention or special accommodations. Delivers care that is culturally sensitive. EDUCATION: |
High school graduate or equivalent Completion of a state approved Nurse Aide 1 training |
EXPERIENCE: |
Preferred - one year experience as a nursing assistant |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
REQUIRED Successfully complete BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire date. Current good standing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry verified through DFS https://www.ncnar.org/verify_listings1.jsp Must have reliable transportation with adequate insurance as determined by the organization.
