Talent Pool: Facilities & Operations
Performs corrective maintenance on clinical equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions. Includes adjustments, repairs, and calibrations. -------------------------------------------------- Performs planned maintenance inspections on clinical equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions. Performs 100% planned maintenance on life support equipment within the first two weeks. Includes adjustments, repairs, and scheduled or corrective parts replacements necessary to complete these inspections. -------------------------------------------------- Performs appropriate documentation on corrective maintenance activities including those performed by outside service vendors. Documents work order time and non-productive time to ensure accountability of labor utilization. Maintains documentation and compliance with departmental standards for purchase order and parts management activities. -------------------------------------------------- Assists in, or coordinates, installation and acceptance testing of new equipment and special projects as assigned. Initiates associated PM procedure changes for new equipment when necessary. -------------------------------------------------- Supports institutional and departmental quality assurance activities by completing alert/recall, incident investigation, and Safety Zone Portal work orders as assigned. -------------------------------------------------- |
EDUCATION: |
Associates, Electronics, Required in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology; or Associate degree in Electronics Technology; or completion of military service school in Biomedical Equipment Technology as substitute for Associate's degree. |
EXPERIENCE: |
5 to 7 Years, Required Experience in Biomedical Equipment Technology 5 to 7 years experience in Biomedical Equipment Technology required. |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
REQUIRED CBET | Cert Biomedical Equipment Tech Must be certified as a Biomedical Equipment Technician. Acceptable certifications include: CLES; CRES and CBET or other equivalent certifications. |
