This position is responsible to maintain regulatory and professional standards and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities. A close working relationship with Radiology leadership, radiologists, and the medical staff is required to maintain a cost-effective and patient-focused service. Identifying and accomplishing program goals, action items, and outcomes are also components of this position. This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing Mammography procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols. Technologists in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of Mammography equipment. Responsible for quality assurance to include MQSA, FDA, ACR accreditation. Supervises direct reports, manages daily operations, staff schedules, workflow, and patient services/care. Uses Press Gainey Patient Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, and Operations Advisor Report to monitor performance. -------------------------------------------------- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of employee time sheets in Kronos, staff development to include coaching, corrective action, and performance appraisals. -------------------------------------------------- Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable. Exam productivity is within established benchmark. -------------------------------------------------- Consistently completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS. Consistently and accurately identifies all charges associated with studies. Addresses errors and resolves issues related to final product being sent to PACS. -------------------------------------------------- Consistently demonstrates commitment to safe practices and supports Just Culture. Commitment to use Two for Two to accurately identify patients, follows procedures to avoid laterality errors, eliminate falls and ALARA. Completes all annual competencies by designated timeframe. -------------------------------------------------- Responsible for ACR/FDA and MQSA compliance and accreditation. This includes all quality assurance activities. EDUCATION: |
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required Graduate of an accredited Radiology Imaging or related educational program. |
