This position is accountable to provide accurate interpretation of cell studies in order to provide physicians with information and results to facilitate diagnosis and quality patient care. Clinical knowledge and skills related to neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics are required and will be assessed during the performance appraisal process. |

Detect and / or resolves problems forward them to the lead person -------------------------------------------------- Maintains diagnostic and interpretive skills necessary to train, develop and provide outreach services for the department. -------------------------------------------------- Molecular specimen preparation, processing, resulting and troubleshooting -------------------------------------------------- Participates in departmental QA and follows appropriate procedures in order to ensure quality patient -------------------------------------------------- Prepares and collects GYN and Nongyn specimens in order to provide adequate cell samples -------------------------------------------------- Within 3 months of hire must performs microscopic evaluations of GYN and NonGyn specimens to determine a timely and accurate diagnosis while following defined procedures -------------------------------------------------- |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Bachelor?s Degree and Cytology Certified training program. |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 6 months ? 1 year of relevant experience in Cytology Laboratory. |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
REQUIRED Required: ASCP certified Cytotechnologist PREFERRED |
