Overview

Responsible for the successful development and system-wide delivery of training for software that is managed through the Information & Technology Services (ITS) department, including Epic, Infor/ERP, and other critical applications. Responsibilities include designing training curricula, developing educational content, configuring software training environments, coordinating & conducting training sessions, reviewing & resolving service tickets, rounding among stakeholders, and participating in on-call & support duties. The position requires extensive communication and collaboration with operational leaders, ITS department leaders, ITS teams and other external stakeholders. It also includes assisting in the recruitment, selection, coordination, education, scheduling, oversight and assessment of Credentialed Trainers (CT?s).

Responsibilities


Develops and implements / delivers the software training program for one?s respective Epic application(s) and/or other ITS software. Creates and edits the curriculum and training materials for all roles. Collaborates with leaders and analysts to determine the best approaches for training program development and user training.

Creates, builds, configures, tests, and maintains the software training environments, where applicable. Works in conjunction with application teams and technical teams to ensure consistency between production and training environments (where the ITS Instructional Designer has primary responsibility for configuring training environments).

Assists with the recruiting, selecting, coordinating, educating and credentialing of Credentialed Trainers (CT?s) to assist with super user and end user training. Ensures that CT?s are trained and equipped to successfully serve specific applications and user areas.

Provides training and remediation for all system users including classroom, independent, at-the-elbow, refresher, new hire, thrive, online, and blended learning.

Coordinates training logistics, responds to requests for training, reviews pertinent service tickets, supports help line calls, rounds among stakeholders, and actively participates in on-call coverage.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree with 3 years? experience in relevant field, OR
Associate's degree with 8 years' experience in relevant field, OR
High School diploma with 13 years' experience in relevant field.

EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
Public speaking experience with the ability to inspire others.

PREFERRED:
Skill and prior experience in adult education including curricula design, content development and training delivery.
Experience implementing, supporting and training an EHR, ERP or other IT system.
Current Epic certification (depending on position focus).
Clinical experience (depending on position focus).
Knowledgeable of current Joint Commission guidelines and HIPAA requirements for managing information.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED:
For clinical employees: Must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse.
For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications: Must satisfactorily complete required EPIC certification testing at the first opportunity after hire date.
