The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and project management support to the Volunteer team from recruiting, to hiring, placement of volunteers, and onboarding. This role provides daily support to the volunteer team members including troubleshooting issues, finding/purchasing supplies, and training for positions. the schedule for this position is M-F, 8am - 5pm, some evenings and weekends. |
Responsibilities

- Assists departmental leadership with volunteer recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, scheduling and annual competencies of all volunteers.
- Help determine volunteer placement by coordinating with organizational leaders and departmental leadership.
- Provides volunteers with education, coaching and support on customer service standards and expectations.
- Partners with Guest Relations leadership to coordinate, monitor, and evaluate new guest relations and volunteer programs.
- Works closely with the paid guest reception staff to ensure coverage and to ensure we are meeting the needs of our guests.
- Acts as leader in absence of departmental leadership to ensure volunteers and guest receptionists have needed support.
- Maintains office supplies, volunteer files and records, and financial data as needed in the department.
- Assists department leadership and marketing to develop volunteer recruitment tools and strategies.
- Provides support to Volunteer Services and Guest Relations departmental leadership.
- Provides ongoing support to the various Cone Health Greensboro volunteer boards.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: |
Required: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Bachelor's Degree |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: One or more years of working with Volunteers. Preferred: Healthcare and Customer Service experience.
