Overview

 

Effectively and efficiently manage all areas of Clinical Services, clinical policies and procedures, patient care safety and quality, clinical workflows, patient service recovery and patient satisfaction. Provide proactive leadership for clinical issues and administratively contribute to the overall excellence of patient care for the practice. This position provides direct supervision and serves as a resource in the supervision, training and proficiency of clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and Phlebotomists.

Responsibilities

 

 
Accountable for ensuring/coordinating clinical competency of staff and addressing any gaps in conjunction with Clinical Team Leads. Participates/leads clinical staff and provider meetings as needed and in conjunction with Site Managers.

Assists Site Managers in proper scheduling of clinical staff including covering vacancies for callouts, vacations, etc.

Assists the Department Director with special projects including, but not limited to, Patient-Centered Medical Home, THN quality metrics, Population Health Management, Meaningful Use, etc.

Demonstrate compliance with the Cone Health systems cultural behaviors, mission/vision, values, iCARE principles, practices and commitments.

Maintains regulatory and professional standards/requirements. Ensures that all infection control and OSHA guidelines are followed.

Participates in annual planning and budgeting process and provide advice to Administration.

Provides clinical expertise and guidance to licensed and non-licensed clinical staff. Provides direct supervision for Clinical Team Leads including recruiting, training, educating and mentoring through education, regular meetings, 1:1 coaching sessions and other available means.

Serves as resource for Practice providers and staff on any clinical and/or workflow issues.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Bachelors, Required
Masters, Preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:
2 years, Required
2 years clinical experience in a medium to large medical practice (i.e. 6 ? 10 providers).
2 years of supervisory experience required.

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state.
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
