Overview

Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software and other digital platforms. Collaborates with other team members to assist in design, validation, and problem resolution related to the electronic health record.

Responsibilities


Work with the leaders of Multidisciplinary Service Lines and Application Analyst to review, develop, optimize and implement unique clinical workflows that support clinical end users.
Collaborates with technical and clinical resources, and end user groups to ensure the EMR system meets the clinical end-user needs as well as the organization?s clinical and patient care needs.
Meet with clinical end users with the dual intention of optimizing and standardizing their workflow, and identifying and developing new workflows that improve the efficiency of the clinical staff.
Problem solving: Ability to understand and empathize with end users in order to develop solutions for improved patient care and end-user efficiency.

Develop solutions and ensure, if necessary, that the solutions are configured correctly by the IT staff.
Review, test and validate new application releases to ensure that new releases meet the needs of the end user and patients.
Participate in training and work with end users. Troubleshoot problems and questions from end users and from the IT application teams

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required:
BSN or BA/BS in related fields of healthcare, informatics, educational design, adult learning.
Preferred:
Clinical Degree. Epic Certification in clinical application. Masters in Health, Science or Business field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Two years of healthcare experience in a hospital or physician practice setting. Strong working knowledge of hospital/ambulatory clinical workflows. Currently, or develop into, an expert user of Cone Health Link and other digital applications. In-depth knowledge of Cone Health policies and procedures.
Preferred:
Previous use of and end-user expertise with Epic clinical applications. Master an in-depth knowledge of Cone Health policies and procedures.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
For clinical employees: Must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse.
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Epic clinical application certification or obtain Epic clinical builder application in 3 months of hire date, as applicable.
Valid Driver's License
