The Business Manager, Operative Services, is responsible for providing support for Operative Services, managing processes related to financial and strategic planning, statistical studies, and process improvement activities. The Business Manager will oversee internal initiatives like monitoring and management of productivity, block scheduling management, utilization statistics, timely processing of patient billing, and maintaining Surgical Services operational and quality statistics. |
Assists with the development of annual operational budgets for Operative Services to include revenue and expense, program changes, objectives, and FTE budgets with the OR Directors.
Provide assistance to director in budget management, cost monitoring and variance accountability
Maintains regular system of expense review to ensure the effective use of resources.
Oversees the surgical billing process to ensure that charge codes, data and charge entry, and revenue capture are compliant. Resolves patient billing concerns and complaints
Primary data abstractor for Operative services. Provide ongoing as well as ad hoc reports and data to leadership. Work closely with OR management and IT to ensure data is accurate and available in a timely manner.
Manages, analysis and assess data from a variety of reports related to OR Metrics, including but not limited to OR dashboard, Core Measures, Patient/Physician/Staff Satisfaction and any other Performance or Quality measure, Charge Capture activity, and utilization
Prepares various statistical reports, audits of regulatory compliance, and other systems. |
EDUCATION: |
Required - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Preferred - Master's Degree in Business/Health Administration or related Curriculum |
