Overview

Responsible for selecting vendors for non-contract items, securing best price and delivery, and placing orders to facilitate and expedite the timely receipt of items as specified by user departments. Performs variety of duties to purchase material, equipment, merchandise and supplies according to organizational guidelines for cost, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities


Reviews incoming requisitions, consignment requests and processes and completes unreleased orders.

Expedites critical, current and past due orders as required and advises requesters on status.

Maintains files/records for special orders.

Provides staff support and department trainer.

Investigates and reviews product information, working proactively with contract, Lawson Team and AP to adhere to best practices,

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Bachelors, Business Administration, Preferred
Preferred: Bachelor's in Business Administration or other related field.

EXPERIENCE:
5 years, Purchasing, Required
Required: Minimum of 5 years in healthcare or other industry purchasing or related field

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
If driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have five (5) years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
PREFERRED
GHX (Global Health Exchange) preferred and/or obtain within 1 year of hire date.
CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CMRP (Certified Materials Resource Planner) preferred.
