Overview

 
Performs various cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the chief technical sonographer.
Delivers excellent customer service utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and colleagues, including all internal and external customers. Talent Pool; Allied Health

 

Responsibilities

 

 
Performs 2D/Doppler echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner.
Performs venous, arterial, carotid, and renal studies completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner.
Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to reading cardiologists in oral and written form.
Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repair of all testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner.
Maintains skills in all current procedures performed. Learns new skills and procedures as changes occur.
Maintains professional and CPR certification.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required:
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Preferred:
Graduate of accredited associate degree program.

 

EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
1 year experience of relevant patient care in an allied health field.

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
RDCS or RCS from ARDMS or CCI and RVT or RVS from ARDMS or CCI
CPR
Valid Driver's license
Preferred:
ACLS certification
