Overview

Administrative & Clerical
This position is responsible to greet and register outpatients into the Cone Health information system, enter orders, and other duties to facilitate patient exams. The schedule for this role is floating days - 3 week days - 6:30am - 5:00pm (33-36 hours a week)

 

Responsibilities

 

 
  • Greets patients using AIDET (Acknowledgement, Introduce, Duration, Explanation and Thanks) Protocol. Determines patient destination at check-in. Arrives patient in CHL. Escorts patients/family to the appropriate area.
  • Interviews patients in order to obtain accurate registration data. Obtains necessary signatures on the AOB and collects copies of insurance card and patient identification.
  • Enters all data accurately.
  • Handles and appropriately directs all phone calls. Initiates call reminders to patients and schedules/reschedules patient exams as necessary.
  • Prepares and distributes exam associated documentation to all modalities.
  • Processes all documentation related to requests for imaging data, CD's, reports, etc. and scans the Release of Information form.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Required

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1year of experience working with patients on a daily basis - Required

1-2 years medical office or hospital clerical experience - Preferred
