Overview

 
The Courier coordinates the pick-up and delivery of medical specimens, reports, and supplies from area medical facilities. Working under close supervision, this role communicates effectively with departments to deliver products in a timely fashion. the schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 5AM - 1:30PM but subject to change with business needs. Responsibilities

 

 
  • Reviews and abide by the established schedule or dispatched route in order to meet all delivery needs efficiently.
  • Documents the condition and maintenance of the hospital vehicle and coordinates with the appropriate parties to fix problems that arise.
  • Handles the operations of the hospital vehicle in compliance with Department of Transportation and motor vehicle regulations in order to ensure safe driving.
  • Assists with any issues that arise related to incorrect addresses to deliver materials to the correct parties.
  • Responds to internal inquiries regarding delivery times and schedules to meet needs and resolve any concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
