The CV Sonographer Outpatient Dual Registered performs a range of cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures working under the supervision of the department manager. The role is responsible for providing accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The CV Sonographer Outpatient Dual Registered prioritizes customer service, using Relationship-Based Care principles to ensure patient safety, respect patient preferences, and foster effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues. Talent Pool: Allied Health
Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols with good diagnostic quality. Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to reading cardiologists to aid in proper diagnosis and treatment planning and ensure seamless collaboration between the sonographer and cardiologists. Operates, troubleshoots, and requests repair of all testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results and promote patient safety and efficient workflow. Maintains professional and CPR certification to adhere to industry standards and ensure readiness to respond to any cardiac emergencies that may arise. If trained by staff education and demonstrates competency, performs IV insertion and maintains IV competency skills on an annual basis. Administers image enhancing agent as ordered to optimize quality of echocardiogram. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 1 year experience of relevant patient care in an allied health field |

Required: RDCS or RCS from ARDMS or CCI and RVT or RVS from ARDMS or CCI BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider |
