Overview

The Food Service Group Leader Serves as a working lead supervisor coordinating activities of workers or service employees engaged in food operations or services. This role ensures the work environment is clean and sanitary according to policies, looks for ways to improve the department's speed and productivity, and supports staff through training and orientations in order to ensure customer satisfaction with the department's food services.

Responsibilities


Ensures team members follow safety and sanitation protocols in order to ensure a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for ways to provide increased service and productivity.
Supports with resolving customer issues in order to ensure high-quality customer service.
Helps to maintain a clean working environment by removing trash and making sure that the Cafeteria/Atrium is ready to open the following day in the morning.
Helps with orienting and training new employees to teach them about their role and about the department.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year of supervisory experience
