The Group Exercise Instructor helps teach group exercise classes for employees, patients, and members. Working under close supervision for routine situations, this role collaborates with participants to lead fitness classes and create a safe and inviting exercise environment. |
Talent Pool: Allied Health
Helps lead safe and effective group exercise classes to improve participant health. Assists with educating participants on the proper form, anatomy, and modifications of exercise moves to promote safety and effectiveness of exercises. Ensures the safety of participants while using the facility's fitness equipment. Adapts classes to meet the varying needs of fitness ability to ensure that all participants are benefiting from the class. Maintains cleanliness of the group fitness studio to uphold a positive reputation with customers. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
EXPERIENCE: |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: A nationally accredited certification from a recognized organization or equivalent specialty certification such as ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, or Yoga Alliance BLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provder |
