Overview

The Student CT/MR Technologist maintains regulatory and professional standards and exhibits strong decision-making capabilities, under the supervision of a registered Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance (CT/MR) Technologist. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing CT/MR procedures, following approved workflows and procedural protocols. The Student CT/MR Technologists assists with operating CT/MR equipment, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in diagnostic imaging processes. This role contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge under the guidance of a registered CT/MR Technologist.

Responsibilities

Assists with patient transport as necessary to ensure smooth and efficient flow of patients within the imaging department, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

Supports the completion of exams and documentation in Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to maintain accurate and comprehensive records for efficient retrieval and review by radiologists and other healthcare providers.

Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, following established protocols to avoid errors and ensure patient and staff safety, while actively participating in continuous education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Assists with the performance of routine and special CT/MR exams consistent with established protocols, minimizing the need for repeat examinations and ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic imaging results for healthcare providers to make informed decisions.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and development, participating in annual competency assessments within the designated timeframe to maintain and enhance skills necessary for providing high-quality CT/MR imaging services.

Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiology, Imaging or related educational program

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 0 - 1 year

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
