Overview

The RN Capacity Strategist optimizes resource utilization and ensures high-quality patient care by collaborating with nurse managers and schedulers to forecast demand and adjust staffing levels. They monitor performance metrics, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with regulations, contributing to a well-staffed, efficient healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

 

 
Works with Patient Placement and Administrative Coordinator (AC) on system processes to maximize the efficiency of patient care.
Analyzes patient census data, inpatient bed needs, and available resources to maintain safe patient care.
Ensures regulatory standards are met and understood by personnel. Assesses patient flow issues throughout the hospital to determine their impact on patient safety.
Analyzes metrics to drive value to assure cost effective allocation of resources.
Leads daily campus bed huddles to triage and assess patient throughput, capacity changes and proactive bed planning.
Assists with campus initiatives to optimize patient throughput.
Supports nursing and cross-departmental leadership in designing efficient/effective and safe systems and processes to assure smooth patient throughput.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 7+ years of experience

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: RN licensure to practice in the state of NC
