Assesses complex patients' medical history and current condition to prepare them for cardiac catheterization procedures. Operates specialized equipment and monitors patients during procedures, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes. Administers medications and maintains accurate documentation of patients' responses and procedural details. Collaborates closely with the healthcare team, including physicians and technicians, to facilitate smooth and successful procedures. Provides patient education and support before, during, and after cardiac cath lab procedures. Adheres to professional advancement program requirements, engages in ongoing education, and mentors others to promote professional growth and development to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field, leading to improved patient care and clinical expertise. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or another Allied Health Curriculum |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: > 2 years Cath lab experience |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, RCIS for Cath Lab, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN or RCIS for holding room BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider |
