Overview

The Supervisor CT Technologist MCH/CT Cardio Imaging Specialist supervises and coordinates the activities of the Computed Tomography (CT) technologists to ensure high-quality imaging services and maintain regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, training, and performance evaluations of the CT technologists, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate diagnostic results. The Supervisor CT Technologist MCH/CT Cardio Imaging Specialist plays a critical role in providing leadership, promoting patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of imaging quality and patient care. This role will support CT operations across Moses Cone Campus including Heart Vascular Tower CT and X-ray modalities. In addition, this role as CT Cardiovascular Imaging specialist will serve as CT Cardiovascular Imaging subject matter expert across Cone Health.

Responsibilities

 

Supervises and manages daily operations, staff schedules, workflow, and patient services/care, to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of CT imaging services.

Ensures accurate and timely completion of employee time sheets in time entry system, and provides staff development through coaching, corrective action, and performance appraisals to adhere to labor regulations and foster a skilled and motivated workforce.

Performs routine and special CT exams following established protocols, minimizing the need for additional imaging to reduce patient radiation exposure and improve diagnostic accuracy.

Completes all exams and documentation accurately in the designated system and identifies charges associated with studies to ensure proper billing and data integrity, supporting financial operations and quality reporting.

Completes all required annual competencies within the designated timeframe to maintain professional competency and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Oversees the American College of Radiology (ACR) Accreditation process, including equipment evaluations and periodic quality assurance to maintain accreditation standards and demonstrate the department's commitment to quality and adherence to the highest standards of imaging practice.

Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2+ years
