Overview

 

 
The philanthropy department has a Project Coordinator role who is responsible for synchronizing the various operational aspects of different project areas to support successful project completion. This role supports the project sponsor and project manager(s) by administering, collecting, managing and distributing information, organizing meetings and events, and updating project schedules. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
  • Coordinates and facilitates the implementation of healthcare projects within the practice/medical group, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborates with project teams comprising healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and external vendors, effectively communicating project goals, roles, and responsibilities to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Monitors project budgets, tracking expenses for equipment, supplies, and contracted services, while working closely with finance departments to ensure financial compliance and cost-efficient project execution.
  • Facilitates communication and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, including hospital departments, physicians, vendors, and regulatory agencies, to address project-related concerns, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure smooth project progression.
  • Oversees the project's execution by managing task assignments, conducting regular progress meetings, and proactively identifying and resolving any obstacles or issues that may arise during project implementation.
  • Provides regular updates to project sponsors and senior leadership, delivering comprehensive project status reports, accomplishments, risk assessments, and recommendations, to ensure effective decision-making and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years of coordinator experience.
