The Pharmacy Technician III Certified IV Ambulatory performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role maintaining workflow, inventory, billing and other complex pharmacy processes. Additionally, they have ownership of a specialty area. |
Compounds hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, evaluates for accuracy. Documents all tasks in Simplify, including daily and weekly cleaning. Assists pharmacists in medication preparation by preparing, labeling and organizing prescriptions. Assists with inventory maintenance. Maintains pharmacy workflow including ordering and receiving drugs and supplies. Serves as mentor in the training and orientation of new employees. Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |

Required: 5 years |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role. |
