Working under moderate supervision, the Database Engineer Intermediate encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the software modules to ensure the system is running smoothly and efficiently for users.

Analyzes the implementation and design of organization databases to ensure databases are both user-friendly and secure. Monitors database performance, scalability and security to identify and resolve performance issues and ensure optimal database performance. Prepares processes to evaluate existing database designs to determine if final solutions meet organizational needs and improve the overall system. Participates in the creation of data architectures for databases and data warehouses to ensure a well-structured and efficient environment. Reviews data migrations/conversions and seeks advice from senior management regarding troubleshooting data processing issues that may be complex or difficult. Researches the strategy development for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation to ensure successful implementation is aligned with organizational needs. Performs other duties as assigned. |
