Overview

 
A Registered Nurse (RN) 3 monitors patient care, clinical standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Working under minimal supervision, this role manages projects and processes within the nursing group, provides counsel to the organization on patient-centered care and innovative nursing practices.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
Reviews patient needs and conditions to deliver nursing care within the assigned unit to ensure that every patient receives the direct and proper care needed.

Reviews and develops nursing care plans to ensure alignment with patient needs and evidence-based nursing practice.

Prepares protocols, examines clinical outcomes and makes adjustments to enhance patient satisfaction and care quality.

Seeks guidance from senior management on complex issues to ensure coordinated care and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Manages projects within the nursing group, implements best practices to support overall success in patient care initiatives and nursing excellence.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelors of Nursing Degree

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2 years of cumulative experience as practicing RN

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
National certification in clinical specialty area
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
