Overview

The Capacity Manager optimizes resource utilization and ensures high-quality patient care by collaborating with nurse managers and schedulers to forecast demand and adjust staffing levels. They monitor performance metrics, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with regulations, contributing to a well-staffed, efficient healthcare environment.

Responsibilities


Provides supervision for the Central Capacity Center (CCC) and serves as the administrative representative.
Serves as a systemwide liaison for the Administrator on-call (AOD) to contact as needed.
Acts independently to provide crisis management, ensuring adherence to systemwide disaster plans and policies.
Interprets policy and makes timely decisions that directly affect patient care.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to resolve clinical and operational issues.
Teams with Hospitalists in a co-management model to facilitate communication and patient throughput.
Coordinates and conducts multiple systemwide daily debriefings, including weekends and holidays.
Listens and acts to resolve employee concerns and complaints, escalating issues to appropriate SW leaders as needed.
Reviews, investigates, and responds to safety/behavioral concerns.
Serves as a resource for policies, standards, and performance issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 7+ years of experience

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: RN licensure to practice in the state of NC
