Overview

The Pharmacy Financial Analyst is responsible for performing research, analysis, and reconciliation of pharmaceutical purchases, pharmaceutical contract optimization opportunities, and outpatient pharmaceutical reimbursement.

Responsibilities


Ensures accuracy and payment of invoices on time. Action taken to correct invoices.
Utilizes automated systems for matching and processing of outstanding invoices.
Is a resource for pharmacy business manager and purchasing agents for all aspects of invoice processing.
Maintains knowledge base of inventory management system to provide information in the absence of the business manager.
Ensures all payments are within the terms of contract. Accruals are communicated to finance monthly by deadline.
Maintains, reviews, and analyzes budget and financial records.
Consistently identifies and researches monthly budget variances; conducts full analysis prior to providing timely report to leadership.
Efficiently and effectively utilizes all automated financial systems and reports.
Accurately assesses current budget and determines correct object code for expenses.
Reviews purchase records and supplies information for projects.
Coordinates inventories systemwide. Proactively schedules appropriate outside and internal resources required for conducting inventory.
Effectively communicates inventory requirements/preparation to all campuses. Inventory reports are reviewed for accuracy of count and pricing. Discrepancies are promptly resolved and corrected. Provides accurate summary documentation by area.
Oversees reimbursement, accounts payable, research/educational funds, charge reconciliation and pharmaceutical rebate programs.
Oversees pharmacy returns program and failure to supply claims.
Assists with medication procurement and communicates updates related to changes in medication procurement to internal and external stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor Degree, or High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelors, Finance or directly related major

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 0 years of experience and Bachelors Degree or 5 years of related experience and High School Diploma.
