The Clinic Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides psychotherapy services and social work assistance to patients and families as related to illness by utilizing a variety of modalities in all areas of service. This position serves patients with both mental and physical ailments with other members of the care management team. |
Provides clinical work services to both patients and their families to meet current and future psychosocial and medical needs. Completes psychosocial assessment for patients to understand their situation and be able to link them with the option of care that makes the most sense for the patient's medical and social status. Comforts patients, providing emotional support to both the patient and their family to make the patient feel at ease, enabling them to move through the organization's healthcare system, providing support at all stages. Serves patients with severe and persistent mental illness or patients with new psychiatric needs with care to give them the highest possibility chance of success within the organization's healthcare system. Utilizes various counseling and therapy techniques to help place the patient and their family at ease with regards to clinical and medical work. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Master's of Social Work |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in a health-related environment |
