The Administrator, Wesley Long Hospital is accountable for the strategic leadership and direction of operations of the 175-bed acute care hospital campus to ensure achievement of established goals and objectives. This role will lead initiatives to improve quality of care, assuring patient safety and maintaining compliance with accreditation standard in a regulatory environment with various state and federal agencies and The Joint Commission. The Administrator provides transformational leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional care to the communities served. The role represents Wesley Long Hospital and Cone Health in the community and with strategic partners. This Position reports to the SVP and President, Greensboro Market. |
Assures effective execution of business strategies by aligning human resource strategies with business needs, by recruiting and developing a high-performance leadership team, and by developing a climate which builds employee commitment and reinforces high performance and customer service, and supports diversity Serves as the administrative leader responsible for site operations, including strategic planning, financial management, quality of patient care, staff leadership Provides visionary leadership that inspires the highest levels of performance in the delivery by building performance-based relationships and driving a culture of accountability. Strategically plans and executes the hospital's long-term vision, including identifying market needs, setting strategic goals, aligning goals with value-based care strategies and allocating resources necessary for achievement. Maintains an organized system of management and controls that ensure smooth function of hospital/health system operations, timely accomplishment of goals, and physical, financial and human resource viability and success. Takes action to ensure the hospitals achievement of revenue returns at targeted levels for long term success. Maintains effective and collaborative relationships with the medical staff that inspire loyalty, ensures the ability to meet the health needs of the community and advances quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction] Fosters strong community relations and develops collaborative partnerships that advance the interests of the organization and contribute to the health and well-being of the communities served. Ensures legal, regulatory and accrediting compliance and represents the hospital/health system in relationships with local, state and federal governing agencies. Consistently ensures compliance of Cone Health?s Code of Conduct. Recruits, coaches, develops and retains a diverse talent pool to provide for efficient and high-quality patient care, patient satisfaction, financial performance, employee engagement, and physician involvement. Remains current in all national healthcare-based initiatives through participations in organizations and relevant state-based facility associations. Maintains professional growth and development. Ensures effective marketing and communication plans are implemented through partnerships with marketing and other key partnerships. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Masters Degree in Health Administration, Business or a related professional field. |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 5-7 years experience acute care hospital leadership experience Preferred: experience in working in a large multi-hospital organization system. |
