The Caterer performs routine catering duties including the preparation of food, set-up of food, delivery of food, food storage, and proper breakdown of catered events in order to provide high-quality food service. Working under direct supervision, this role also maintains a clean work area by complying with all safety regulations in order to provide a safe working environment. |
Produces food per recipe, on time and in accurate amounts. Helps with calculating the necessary quantities of recipe ingredients in order to ensure that over or under production does not occur and to minimize waste. Supports with ensuring that all catering requests by hospital staff or outside customers are completed and delivered by the prescribed time. Ensures that prepared food meets standards for palatability, appearance, and temperature in order to provide high-quality service. Follows all safety regulations, reports all safety hazards if they occur, and helps clean spills in order to ensure a safe and clean work environment. Supports with operating and maintaining equipment in accordance with department or manufacturer's specifications. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent experience |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 2 years cooking experience; minimum 3 years of driving required. |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Valid Driver's License. Ability to pass driver's attestation form. If driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management. |
