Overview

The Technical QA Tester Business Analyst Intermediate is responsible for managing business requirements and documenting technically specific outcomes to be produced by IT teams. This role gathers, analyzes and defines key metrics for business solutions. This role provides moderate to complex analysis of current IT and Analytic systems and data structures for optimal usage. This role also ensures software and application quality through testing for specific business needs including enhancements, maintenance, and defect fixes. Under minimal supervision this job identifies and defines business needs and requirement gathering, designs test scripts and plans, oversees test execution and test status reports, and may act as a sign off or final approver for testing validation.

Responsibilities


Develops and prioritizes tasks to meet project scope, and team deadlines.
Meets with stakeholders to take inputs, documenting technically specific outcomes to be produced by the IT team.
Assists in the development of intake documents, test plans, testing scenarios, test scripts or testing procedures.
Performs Intake hand offs and status updates; appropriately escalates to manager, to communicate impact to scope, delivery, quality, timeliness and/or effectiveness of a project.
Accurately documents business needs and application defects using approved standards, processes, and tools for moderate and complex projects and seeks advice from senior team members when needed.
Collects customer feedback and collaborates with colleagues, customers and vendors to improve customer usability on existing and future IT and Analytics solutions.
Develops Test Management policy as recommended by ITS, developing end-user training materials, including hand-outs, pamphlets, training manuals, videos, exercises, and classroom visuals.
Provides instructor-led, virtual classroom, and on-demand customer training sessions.
Educates ITS staff and team members on the Test Management process to ensure that best practice methods and standardized procedures are used and followed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 6 Years

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: For Data and Analytic roles, must satisfactorily complete required Epic Clarity Data Model Certification.
