Department: Digital Consumer Growth Team (DCGT), Cone Health

Reports To: Manager, Digital Consumer Growth

Location: Hybrid – Cone Health Facilities, Community Sites, and Virtual Engagement

 

Cone Health’s Digital Consumer Growth Team (DCGT) is seeking forward-thinking, results-driven intern to support enterprise-level strategies aimed at advancing digital health equity, consumer engagement, and MyChart optimization. This immersive internship is designed for emerging leaders with a passion for driving transformation at the intersection of healthcare delivery, digital innovation, and patient experience.

Interns will work alongside senior strategists, technologists, and community leaders to design and implement high-impact engagement initiatives. These efforts directly support Cone Health’s organizational imperative to close digital care gaps, enhance operational efficiency, and drive measurable cost savings through increased digital adoption. This is a dynamic opportunity for future healthcare executives to gain hands-on experience within a system-wide innovation environment.

 

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date and orientation on 9/15/25. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Consumer-Centered Digital Engagement

- Serve as a frontline ambassador for Cone Health’s digital transformation strategy by promoting MyChart utilization and activation across multiple settings.
- Deliver personalized digital coaching to patients and families, addressing common barriers to access such as login recovery, password retention, and proxy configuration, leveraging Epic MyChart workflows.
- Guide consumers through MyChart’s core features—appointment scheduling, test results, secure messaging, medication refills, and eCheck-in—to enhance digital fluency and continuity of care.

Innovation in Learning and Experience Design

- Support the development and facilitation of scalable digital health education models, including virtual learning modules, instructional videos, and culturally tailored content.
- Collaborate on the execution of data-informed community outreach strategies, addressing the needs of targeted consumer segments such as digitally underserved rural populations, multigenerational families, and cautious senior users.
- Contribute to Cone Health’s long-term learning infrastructure through enhancements to written resources, LMS modules, and event-based curriculum.

Event Leadership & Systemwide Engagement

- Coordinate and lead strategic engagement activations across hospital campuses, ambulatory practices, and key community venues.
- Manage all facets of event operations—from pre-planning and logistics to delivery and outcome reporting—ensuring alignment with enterprise KPIs and patient access goals.
- Represent the Digital Consumer Growth Team in professional settings with the capacity to engage clinicians, executive leaders, and community partners.

Performance Measurement & Impact Reporting

- Utilize Power BI, Excel, and Epic reporting tools to assess campaign effectiveness and surface actionable insights.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators including activation counts, utilization deltas, patient feedback, and engagement penetration across populations.
- Assist with the synthesis of evaluation findings into executive-ready reports and strategic recommendations.

 

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Actively pursuing a degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Informatics, Marketing, Business, Organizational Development, or related discipline.

 

EXPERIENCE:

- Demonstrated leadership potential and a strategic understanding of healthcare systems, digital transformation, and consumer innovation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and oral presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical tools into accessible, human-centered value propositions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and digital communication platforms.
- Self-directed, with strong organizational agility and a commitment to high-performance teamwork.

Preferred:

- Experience with Epic MyChart, patient activation workflows, or similar EHR-based consumer tools.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or related analytics and visualization software.
- Prior experience in project coordination, customer engagement, training facilitation, or healthcare communication.
