The Supervisor Occupational Health oversees the daily operations of occupational health services at the clinical site. Working under limited supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to employees, promoting a safe and healthy work environment, and complying with all relevant regulations and standards. |
Ensures that patients receive support with health concerns through consultation, referrals, resources, and workplace modifications as indicated to support health and wellness. Analyzes the occupational health needs of the clinical workforce to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Conducts regular communication with employee, supervisor and health care providers on status and early return to work planning to reduce lost time. Assesses patients with temporary illnesses and occupational injuries or exposures and provides treatment or referral for care. Ensures occupational health coverage for patient care areas and needs including assigning staff and adjusting staff scheduling to operate efficiently to meet patient and hospital demand. Prepares and implements processes and protocols for the delivery of occupational health services to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Researches and stays up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational health to incorporate evidence-based practices into the delivery of services. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 5 Years of Nursing |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Preferred: COHN certification |
