The Practice Site Lead supports all day-to-day department operations and serves as a working resource to the patient access teams. Working under close supervision, this position assists with coordinating work assignments, training new hires, and monitoring the department?s performance to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accordance with practice protocols. |
Assists with patient registration, payment processing, and insurance billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance and trains new employees in registration workflows and financial protocols. Helps manage cash drawer accuracy, prepares daily deposits, and oversees closing processes and trains new employees in cash handling procedures. Works to guide the team in adhering to scheduling guidelines and referral processes and trains new employees in appointment scheduling and referral workflows. Instructs staff in telephone etiquette, message handling, and follow-up procedures and trains new employees in professional communication protocols. Helps enforce Steps of Service protocols, deescalates situations when necessary, and ensures a positive guest experience and trains new employees in customer service. Assists with training on general clerical tasks, including paperwork, medical records, faxes, scans, filing, and typing and ensures timely delivery of new patient information. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: Two years of medical office experience Preferred: Prior history (formal or informal) of team leadership |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider |
