Overview

 
The Marketing Generalist supports Impact Alamance?s communications efforts by creating content, managing social media, and assisting with marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Communications & Advocacy, this role is responsible for executing tactical communications activities, including digital content creation, campaign coordination, and brand storytelling.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
Content Creation & Storytelling
? Develop engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the website that aligns with Impact Alamance?s strategic messaging.
? Write and edit blog posts, press materials, and other digital content.
? Assist in creating compelling visual content, including graphics and video, in collaboration with design vendors or internal resources.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
? Manage day-to-day operations of Impact Alamance?s social media accounts, ensuring timely and engaging posts.
? Monitor audience engagement and adjust content strategy accordingly.
? Track social media analytics and provide reports to the Director of Communications & Advocacy.
Marketing & Outreach Support
? Assist in executing communications campaigns that promote Impact Alamance?s programs and initiatives.
? Support the planning and coordination of community events, advocacy campaigns, and brand awareness efforts.
? Ensure website content is regularly updated and optimized for usability and search performance.
Media & Public Relations Support
? Assist in drafting press releases, media alerts, and talking points.
? Maintain media contact lists and assist with outreach efforts.
? Support event communications and logistics for press events and community engagements.
Administrative & Team Support
? Maintain Impact Alamance?s content calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
? Coordinate with external contractors and vendors, such as graphic designers and photographers.
? Provide administrative support to the Director of Communications & Advocacy, as needed.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor?s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2+ years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or content creation.
Preferred: Experience in nonprofit or community-focused communications.
