Overview

 
The Supervisor Materials Management supervises the daily ordering, pulling, receiving, delivering, and replenishment of supplies in order to meet department and patient needs. This role oversees that inventory data is correctly recorded, and ensures tracking of inventory expiration dates in order to keep inventory up-to-date and usable in the department. The schedule for this position is 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
  • Manages inventorying, reordering, pulling, restocking, rotating inventory, and checking the expiration dates of inventory in order to meet departmental needs.
  • Inspects working and storage areas and ensures clean and orderly conditions.
  • Approves removal of non-functional equipment and supplies from service and reports problems to the proper department(s) for corrective action.
  • Reviews data entry of inventory up to date, making changes or drafting corresponding paperwork as necessary.
  • Ensures supply deliveries are complete and accurate and that the condition of the supplies is acceptable.
  • Investigates and resolves back orders and other delivery issues and product returns.
  • Reviews daily work and incorporates training of assigned staff and performs monthly variance explanation.
  • Maintains or responds to systems/databases in order to include patient charge capture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years of experience in healthcare materials management or other related supply chain field

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
