The Laundry Technician handles the manual work involving the operation of laundry equipment. Responsible for maintaining unit par-levels of all patient linens by receiving, sorting, transporting, and distributing clean and soiled linens. |
Sorts and distributes clean and soiled linens in order to replenish par levels of linens required for daily operations. This position will adhere to the environmental and infection control standards established by OSHA, JCAHO and other regulatory agencies. Helps to maintain equipment, such as the cleaning cart, in order to ensure the continuity of service with limited disruptions. Communicates in a professional manner with the hospital staff and departments to share relevant information and serve the community's needs. Assists with laundry record keeping to document the amount of materials cleaned and processed on a regular basis. Performs other duties as assigned. |
