Manager Cardiac Cath Lab MHC supervises and engages in accountable coordination of daily operations and activities to include business analysis, business strategies, budgeting, other financial planning resources to ensure consistency with the Departmental/Organizations mission, values, and goals. The role is responsible for overseeing department scheduling, training, and performance evaluations of Cath Lab Technologists. The Cardiac Cath Lab Manager MHC will serve as a Cath Lab subject matter expert across the departments. |
Supervises and manages daily operations, staff schedules, workflow, and patient services to maintain effective and efficient delivery of care excellence with budgeted parameters (staffing, inventory, resource utilization, and billing) in the Invasive Cardiac Labs at MHC . Monitors all elements of quality performance, reviewing reports for internal committees and external compliance with regulatory agencies. Ensure that the department meet all compliance and regulatory requirements from internal and external regulatory agencies. Provides administrative and clinical supervision. Responsible to develop and administer department goals and objectives that align with organizational missions, values, goals. Effectively manages resources of the departments including staff development/training, staff competency, staff retention, growth opportunities, and continuous improvement. Implements strategies to increase employee skill level and engagement. Maintains department time keeping activities/schedules. Evaluates the staff through coaching, corrective action, and performance appraisals. Collaborate with other departments/leadership to deliver quality, safe, patient centered care throughout the organization. Serves as a clinical resource to others. Promote ongoing communication with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff regarding quality, satisfaction with all departmental activities. Promotes physician- hospital relationships in order to enhance Invasive Cardiovascular Service Line operations. Participates in business analysis and business strategies to promote resource allocation, reduction in performance gaps by utilizing data and measured performance indicators to achieve KPIs. Makes business decisions about the department using analytics, strategic thinking to flex to challenges, and remove operational/resource barriers. Maintains relevant competencies (professional and regulatory required), and adheres to regulatory standards. Provides education to /healthcare providers, participates in research projects and QI/PI committees. Takes Manager Call. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Graduate from one or more of the following programs required: Nursing or , Radiology Technology or , Respiratory Therapy, or a Paramedic Program, or a sanctioned Cardiovascular Technology Program and MS Degree in Nursing or a Allied Health Profession. Will consider applicants that are enrolled in a pertinent MS degree program with imminent completion. |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 4 years of Invasive Cardiovascular experience and a demonstrated leadership ability. |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. American Red Cross or AHA ACLS |
