Overview

The Cyber Security Analyst supports analysis and research to ensure that the organization's network and IT infrastructure is secure and safe from breaches. Working under close supervision, this role participates in identifying potential information, network, or internet security vulnerabilities in order to proactively protect the organization.

Responsibilities


Assists with designing and implementing information security standards for the organization's applications and databases in order to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
Understands basic internet architecture and firewall configuration to protect the organization's system security.
Collaborates with a security team to provide application development, database design, and network maintenance support.
Assists with researching and advocating for the latest technologies and solutions that support security requirements for internal and external customers.
Supports analyzing, investigating, and recommending ways to improve security technologies for the organization by monitoring data trends.
Stays abreast of current malware and other potential internet security threats to apply to the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience (10 years experience in IT with 5 years in IT Security is needed for equivalent experience)

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2 years

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: CompTIA (CYSA+)
