The Nurse Triage Team Lead plans the care of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the hospital. Working under moderate supervision, this role collaborates with the Triage Nurse Manager to ensure that the department operates smoothly with adequate staffing. |
Monitors phone calls made by staff members to ensure that staff is offering high-quality care in line with the department's goals and objectives. Responds to workflow issues or questions brought up by staff members in order to coordinate the efficient daily operations of the department. Manages the staff schedule, adjusting shifts as needed to meet the demands of patient care. Responds to patient issues and phone calls by escalating them to higher leadership for conflict resolution. Supports the Triage Nurse Manager by assisting with project and data management to ensure efficiency and eliminate system problems. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Associate's Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 3 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider |
