Overview

The Researcher Assistant is an entry-level position that provides administrative support for projects initiated and conducted by principal investigators, including supporting grant funded research and/or industry sponsored clinical research conducted on site at the hospital or its affiliated sites. Working under close supervision, this position works closely with study personnel to support administrative task associated with research projects.

Responsibilities


Prepares research materials and prepares and ships lab specimens that are aligned with guidelines and study protocols.
Supports the maintenance of equipment and lab supplies for department as well as individual studies.
Collects data from various sources, including patient charts, medical records, and diagnostic tests, and prepares comprehensive documentation, ensuring the accurate and reliable analysis of research data. Assists with data entry into sponsor electronic data capture systems and other databases.
Performs administrative and clerical functions to enhance the operations of the clinical research department, streamlining processes, maintaining documentation, and providing support to research staff, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the clinical research function.
Performs other duties as assigned.
