Overview

 
The Value-Based Care Institute is a value-based enablement company aimed at bolstering the achievements of integrated delivery systems, ACOs, and Clinically Integrated Networks. Offering consultancy, data analytics, and operational aid, the VBCI is dedicated to supporting these entities. Playing a pivotal role in steering the strategic goals and operational endeavors of the Value-Based Care Institute, the Chief of Staff (COS) holds a crucial position. Directly reporting to the VP of Population Health and supporting the entire VBCI team, the COS acts as a primary advisor, facilitator, and implementer. Their responsibilities include fostering alignment and coordination among different divisions, departments, and stakeholders. The COS's primary focus is to enhance organizational efficiency, promote collaboration, and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives in advancing the mission of delivering value-based care.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the VBCI Executives to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with the organization's mission and vision; Monitor progress against strategic initiatives, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend adjustments as needed to ensure successful execution.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the VBCI and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams, fostering open communication and alignment; Build and maintain effective relationships with external partners, community organizations, and key stakeholders to support strategic partnerships and collaboration efforts.
Operational Oversight: Provide oversight and support for key operational activities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives; Collaborate with department heads and operational leaders to streamline processes, optimize efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives; Drive Operational support r/t coordinate across multiple health system entities. Ensuring operations related to Care Delivery to seamless and optimized.
Project Management: Lead and/or support strategic projects and initiatives on behalf of the VBCI, coordinating cross-functional teams, establishing timelines and milestones, and ensuring successful project delivery; Monitor project progress, identify barriers to success, and implement mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track and within budget.
Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to staff members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
Required: Masters degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Minimum of 7 years experience in value-based care, AC?s, or clinically integrated networks.
Minimum 5 years experience in an operations role within a healthcare organization.
Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role within a healthcare organization.
Preferred:
Leadership experience preferably in a value based, ACO, or clinically integrated environment.

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Valid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
