Overview

??The Pharmacy Patient Advocate Supervisor oversees the coordination and management of pharmacy patient advocate specialist activities. This position supervises team members to ensure the efficient and accurate completion of prior authorizations, manufacturer assistance, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy department and clinics.?

Responsibilities


??Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of pharmacy patient advocate specialists, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including human resource responsibilities.
Collaborates with pharmacy staff, clinic staff and other healthcare professionals to provide support and assistance in prior authorizations and manufacturer assistance programs.
Trains and mentors pharmacy patient advocate specialists, ensuring ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient advocate operations, including referrals, prior authorizations, manufacturer assistance and renewals.
Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.?

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate degree in pharmacy technology or other degree

EXPERIENCE:
??Required: At least 7-years of experience working in a comparable pharmacy setting
Preferred: Leadership experience and involvement in regulatory compliance activities or oversight

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
??Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)Pharmacy technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire. Advanced Certification (i.e. Controlled Substance Diversion Prevention, Medication History, Hazardous Drug Management, etc.) in the area the technician supervises or Leadership program within 12 months of hire.
